My Favorite Korean Singer is Back

I know this is a totally random post. My most favorite Korean artist is back in the music scene.  Wheesung just released a mini album and his songs inspired me to learn Korean.  I love his songs, I love his way of singing.  After more than 2 years MIA, he is finally back.

I just watched his video and it totally turned my stressful Monday into something else.  The inspiration his music brings to me, I cannot explain. Someone did post a playlist of his Best Man Mini Album in youtube and all the songs are worth listening.  I am just too happy to listen to his mini album.

휘성씨 축하해요!

Finally Back

I am finally back to blogging.  Funny home my last post is about moving to a new hosting server and now I am talking about being back.  Yes, I hosted contents outside and I am now having problems getting a year worth of content back.  It means all the posts I made in 2012 are gone with the wind 😦

Big lesson, hosting outside may not be a good idea for leisure blogger like me.  I practically wasted quarter subscriptions and I miss how easy it is to mange my blog here in WordPress.

Please be back I have lots of things to post plus my 2013 visit to Seoul and Jeju.  After missing Korea in 2012 I was back last April 2013.  또 봐요!

Upgrading Host

Hi guys! I am moving to a server where I can share more than just pictures and links.  Please do come back if in case you see blank pages while the migration is in progress.  Thanks.

2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

London Olympic Stadium holds 80,000 people. This blog was viewed about 350,000 times in 2011. If it were competing at London Olympic Stadium, it would take about 4 sold-out events for that many people to see it.

Click here to see the complete report.

[I love the stats report that WordPress is providing in the Dashboard…just sharing this annual stat report summarizing how my blog performed for the year 2011.  Thanks all for reading my posts 너무 감사합니다!]

Thank You TTMIK

I am so happy to know that Talk to Me In Korean visited my blog.  I am subscribed to their Facebook group account and this appeared on my news feed.

I know this blog needs a lot of improvement and those improvement speaks of the improvement that i need.

TTMIK 고맙습니다!

Half Way

I am halfway reading comments, approving and answering back.  Thanks for those who find this site helpful. To those whO are suggesting corrections thank you too sorry if I can’t reflect them ontime…. You guys keep me inspired on this journey.  However, can’t help but be pissed off with some readers who write comments like rewrite your entry. I do accept corrections although sometimes I don’t have time to edit entries. Please… I started blogging 2 years ago a lot of my entries earlier may have wrong Hangul spelling. Why? Try typing in your alphabet keyboard memorizing the Hangul counterpart of each letter and tell me how easy it is.  And do you know what learning curve means? It means I am no genius okay?!

I also did write about Korean Unmasked. What did I say about the book? opinionated and subjective, and so does my entry about it. For God sake this is a blog, not a reference site or your source of truth kind of thing.  This is because this is a personal blog and I am someone who is trying to learn too not an expert.

If you have differing opinion or review about Korean Unmasked, buy the book, read it and write your own opinion or review about it. Make sure you write it on your own blog and not on the comment portion of my blog entry. I can take comments about my broken Korean but to tell me to rewrite my blog because my review is wrong or incomplete it really pisses me off.  I am not competing with anyone’s knowledge here in Korean, Japanese or Chinese if you disagree or wanted to point out something feel free to do so but to ask me to rewrite my opinion it’s overboard.

New Page: Handy Expressions

I just added a new page called handy expressions.  I think these are the words which will come very handy especially if you just wanted to communicate immediately.  Of course these are basic phrases or expressions, to make complex sentences require a lot of knowledge in the language.  I will try to compile more =)

New PC

Hi guys!  Sorry I can’t post for now but will soon do.  I just changed my PC and I am working on enabling Korean IME.  Still figuring it with Windows 7.

Out of Curiosity

I am happy to see people subscribing to this blog and those who are equally enthusiastic in learning Hangul (Korean) so out of curiosity,  I am wondering what drives you to do so.  Thanks for participating in this poll =)
